Symptoms
When working with Prospect files in a PDS environment, if you attempt to navigate to a different file without first saving the changes in the file you are currently working on, the changes will not save regardless of whether you click "Yes" on the save changes prompt.
Applies To
This happens in a PDS 5.1 environment when using Point 5.1 or Point 5.2. This does not happen for Borrower files.
More Information
The following steps will describe in detail how the issue above might occur.
1) In a PDS data folder, create two prospect files:

- Name the first file "filefirst", with a first name of "First1" and a last name of "Last1".
- Name the second file "filesecond", with a first name of "First2" and a last name of "Last2".
2) Open the first file (named "filefirst").
3) Change the first name to "FirstChanged" and the last name to "LastChanged".

4) Without saving the file ("filefirst"), click on the "Loans" tab.
5) Open the second file (named "filesecond").
6) A dialog will appear asking whether we would like to save the changes made to the first file. The dialog will be similar to the following:

7) Click on "Yes".
8) Once the second files is open, click on the "Loans" tab again.
9) Open the first file again (named "filefirst").
10) Notice that the first and last named did not change to "FirstChanged" and "LastChanged", but have their original values of "First1" and "Last1".

Any other changes to any other fields will also not be saved.
Resolution
When working with Prospect files in a PDS environment, always explicitly save your changes before attempting to open another file.
There are multiple ways to save a file in Point:
1) Click on File / Save.

2) –OR- Use the keyboard shortcut CTRL-S.

3) –OR- Click on the "Save" button in the toolbar.

4) –OR- Click on File / Close; the following dialog (or a similar dialog) will appear:

In this case when you click on "Yes", the changes will be saved:
